Ponteils-et-Brésis is a French commune with 364 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Alès and is part of the canton of La Grand-Combe (until 2015: canton of Génolhac ). The inhabitants are called Ponteillais .

Ponteils-et-Brésis is located about 32 kilometers north-northwest of Alès on the Cèze . Ponteils-et-Brésis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-André-Capcèze in the north, Pied-de-Bone in the northeast, Malons-et-Elze in the east and northeast, Bonnevaux in the southeast, Aujac in the south and southeast, Concoules in the south as well Pourcharesse in the west and northwest.
