Brignon is a commune in the Gard department in the Occitanie region of France (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). It belongs to the canton of Quissac (until 2015 Vézénobres ) and the arrondissement of Alès .
Geography, infrastructure
Neighboring communities are Cruviers-Lascours in the north-west, Saint-Césaire-de-Gauzignan and Saint-Maurice-de-Cazevieille in the north, Castelnau-Valence in the north-east, Moussac in the south-east, Sauzet in the south and Boucoiran-et-Nozières in the west. The Gardon flows through Brignon . The village is served by the SNCF with the Cevennes Railway and the associated Nozières-Brignon station. There the railway accident at Nozières-Brignon occurred .
