Saint-Christol-lez-Alès is on the west bank of the Gardon River and is a banlieue in the south of Alès . Saint-Christol-lès-Alès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Alès in the north, Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas in the east, Vézénobres in the southeast, Les Tavernes in the south, Bagard in the southwest and Saint-Jean-du-Pin in the northwest.
