Ribaute-les-Tavernes is a French commune with 2,209 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department of the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Alès and the canton of Alès-1 (until 2015: canton of Anduze ).
geography
Ribaute-les-Tavernes is about nine kilometers south of Alès . The Gardon d'Anduze river limits the municipality to the south and the Gardon d'Alès to the east. Ribaute-les-Tavernes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Christol-lez-Alès in the north, Vézénobres in the east, Cassagnoles in the south-east, Massanes and Cardet in the south, Lézan in the south-west, Boisset-et-Gaujac in the west and Bagard in the north-west.
