Lézan is a French commune with 1,537 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Alès and the canton of Quissac (until 2015: canton of Lédignan ).
geography
Lézan is located about eleven kilometers south-southwest of Alès . The Gardon (as Gardon d'Anduze ) delimits the municipality in the north. The neighboring municipalities of Lézan are Boisset-et-Gaujac in the north and northwest, Ribaute-les-Tavernes in the northeast, Cardet in the east, Saint-Jean-de-Serres in the southeast, Canaules-et-Argentières in the south and Massillargues-Attuech in the west .
