Tharaux

Tharaux is a commune in the French department of Gard in the region Occitania . It belongs to the canton of Rousson in the Arrondissement of Alès . Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Jean-de-Maruéjols-et-Avéjan in the northwest, Saint-Privat-de-Champclos in the northeast, Méjannes-le-Clap in the southeast and Rochegude in the southwest.

The Cèze flows north of the village center . In Tharaux there are so-called caves near Arles , not to be confused with the caves of the same name in the area.
