The Cèze is a river in France that runs in the Occitania region . It rises in the Cevennes , at the Truc du Samblonnet summit , in the municipality of Saint-André-Capcèze , generally drains in a south-easterly direction and, after 128 kilometers, flows into the Rhône as a right tributary at the municipal boundary of Codolet and Laudun-l'Ardoise . On its way, the Cèze crosses the Lozère and Gard departments . For a short distance it forms the border to the neighboring Ardèche department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region .
