The Homol is a river in France that runs in the Occitania region . It rises in the Cevennes National Park , at the Col du Pré de la Dame , in the municipality of Concoules . In its upper course, the river plunges into the valley with a considerable gradient over a short distance, drains generally in a south-easterly direction and flows into the Cèze as a right tributary after 20 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Sénéchas and Chambon in the backwater of the Barrage de Sénechas . On its way, the Homol traverses the department Lozère and Gard and abuts at its mouth to the adjacent Ardèche .
