The Claysse is a river in France that runs through the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Occitania regions. It rises in the municipality of Saint-Paul-le-Jeune , generally drains in a south-easterly direction and flows into the Cèze as a left tributary after about 17 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Rochegude and Saint-Jean-de-Maruéjols-et-Avéjan . On its way, the Claysse crosses the Gard and Ardèche departments .

Hydrology

South of Saint-Paul-le-Jeune, the river seeps into the karst subsoil and reappears on the surface after about two kilometers in the municipality of Saint-André-de-Cruzières .
