Rochegude is located in the valley of the Cèze at the beginning of the lonely forest gorge of the Natura 2000 - FFH area Gorges de la Cèze (Gorge of the Cèze). Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Jean-de-Maruéjols-et-Avéjan in the north, Tharaux in the east, Méjannes-le-Clap in the south, Rivières and Saint-Denis in the west and Saint-Victor-de-Malcap in the north-west.
