Saint-Denis is a French commune with 294 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department of the Occitanie region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). Saint-Denis belongs to the Arrondissement of Alès and the canton of Rousson (until 2015 Saint-Ambroix ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Denisiens .

Saint-Denis is located about 21 kilometers northeast of Alès on the Cèze , which borders the municipality in the south, in the Cevennes . Saint-Denis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Victor-de-Malcap in the north and west, Rochegude in the east and northeast, Rivières in the southeast, Allègre-les-Fumades in the south and Potelières in the south and southwest.
