Saint-Martin-de-Valgalgues is a banlieue north of Alès on the Gradieux and Gardon d'Alès rivers . Saint-Martin-de-Valgalgues is surrounded by the neighboring communities Laval-Pradel in the north, Saint-Julien-les-Rosiers in the northeast, Saint-Privat-des-Vieux in the southeast, Alès in the south, Cendras in the west and Les Salles-du -Gardon to the northwest.
