Adrienne Horvath

Adrienne Horvath (born March 23, 1925 in Tuyen Quang , Vietnam , † July 4, 2012 in Saint-Martin-de-Valgalgues , Gard department , France ) was a French politician . From 1978 to 1986 she was a member of the National Assembly .

Horvath was oriented towards communism from an early age and fought for workers' rights. In 1977 she was elected mayor of the municipality of Saint-Martin-de-Valgalgues near Alès . The following year she entered the National Assembly for the Communist Party in the Gard department. Beside her, with Émile Jourdan , Bernard Deschamps and Gilbert Millet, all MPs of the Gard department were communists. In 1981 she was re-elected. She remained mayor of Saint-Martin-de-Valgalgues until 1986 and 1989, where she died in 2012.
