Mustafa Doc

Mustafa Dok (* 1971 in Vezirköprü , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish director and film producer .

Career

Mustafa Dok was born in Turkey and lives in Germany. In 1999 and 2000 he completed camera training at the media company in Essen and then studied at the UDK in the department of social and business communication .

Dok has been working in the international film industry since 1998. Among other things, he worked as an assistant and manager for film production seminars together with Joachim von Vietinghoff at various locations in Turkey. In 2007 he took part in the Berlinale Talent Campus. Dok is co-founder of the film production company mpool and worked there from 2004 to the end of 2007. Since 2008 he has headed Bredok Film Production. He has produced several feature films with UFA for ZDF in Istanbul and a television feature film as executive producer (SOKO Leipzig “Istanbul Connection” 90). In 2014 he co-produced Nuri Bilge Ceyla's film Winter Sleep. Winter Sleep was awarded the Palme d'Or in Cannes in 2014.
