Mustafa Zarti

Mustafa Zarti (born March 29, 1970 ) is a Libyan - Austrian businessman. He is currently (March 2011) Vice President of the Libyan Investment Authority Fund (LIA), Chairman of the National Oil Corporation , Head of Tamoil and Vice Chairman of First Energy Bank in Bahrain . He is considered a personal friend of Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi .

The Oesterreichische Nationalbank announced on March 3, 2011 that all Zartis assets in Austria will be frozen. He is suspected of acting as a front man for Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi. He was questioned on the same day by the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counter Terrorism in Vienna. Zarti announced an official liability suit against the Republic of Austria and the exhaustion of all legal means.
