Mutale is a former municipality in the Vhembe district, Limpopo province in South Africa with its seat in Mutale . On August 3, 2016, Mutale was merged with the neighboring municipality of Musina .

The parish was named after the Mutale River, which flows through the former parish.

Localities in the area of ​​the former municipality are, besides Mutale: Khakhu , Makuya, Manenzhe , Masisi , Moletele , Mphaphuli , Rambada , Thengwe , Tshikondeni Mine and Tshikundamalema . The area was 2346 square kilometers.

The motto of the community was Zwiko ndi lupfumo, "Resources are your wealth".
