Gasthaus Mutter Jütte

The Gasthaus Jütte in Bremke , also called Mutter Jütte after the owners , is an old and traditional inn in southern Lower Saxony on the road from Niedernjesa to Heiligenstadt in Thuringian Eichsfeld, today part of the German Fairy Tale Route . Since the 19th century it has been an important destination for professors and students of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . The hall building behind the inn used to be used by the student associations as a drum hall for holding courses .

Caroline Jütte († 4 July 1924), the first mother Jütte, received in 1883 the concession, which now listed farm buildings at the eastern exit of from Reinhausen herziehenden Bremker Valley to operate a restaurant. The silhouettes of Göttingen students on the walls of the dining room and the foundation pictures of various Göttingen Corps in the hall still document the long student tradition of this house, whose menu has been immune to all experiments for decades. The inn is now run as a family business in the fourth generation.
