The Mutton Brook is a watercourse in the London Borough of Barnet . Mutton Brook is being built in Cherry Tree Wood Park, southeast of East Finchley underground station . The construction of the subway led to a backwater in the watercourse, which temporarily bogged the area. The watercourse will now be routed underground to A1 road on Lyttelton Road in Hampstead Garden Suburbs . The Mutton Brook flows from there on the surface in a westerly direction to its confluence with the Dollis Brook, called the upper reaches of the River Brent .
