The Muxklippe is a gabbro rock in the Harz National Park .

Geographical location

The Muxklippe is located in the Harz Mountains , southeast of Bad Harzburg , above the Eckertal on Kaiserweg, a few hundred meters from the border between Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt . The upper part of the cliff is accessible. From here you have a view of the Eckertalsperre and the Brocken on a clear day .

history

Immediately on the Muxklippe, after the First World War, a war memorial for the fallen foresters was erected by Brunswick forest workers.

Below the Muxklippe, the Braunschweiger Weg leads into the Eckertal.
