Cornelis Musius

Muys van Holy is the name of a noble family and that of a Dutch dynasty of the city of Dordrecht . A connection between the two sexes has not been proven.

timeline

The roots of the (noble) family lie in Schiedam and are apparently of knightly origin. The tribe is said to have sprung from the Lords of Heemstede and received the Holy estate near Vlaardingen as an inheritance . The patrician family Muys van Holy which, like De Witt , Van Beveren and Van Slingelandt, belonged to the politically most influential families of Dordrecht in the Golden Age , is of unknown origin. This family died out at the beginning of the 18th century.
