The Ensemble Muytango has set itself the goal of playing authentic and emotionally appealing interpretations of classical and modern tango compositions. String instruments should play a special role here. Muytango's repertoire consists exclusively of pieces by Argentine composers such as Ricardo Brignolo , Enrique Mario Francini , Carlos Gardel , Pedro Maffia , Astor Piazzolla , Osvaldo Pugliese , Horacio Salgan and others. Occasionally there are also joint appearances with other tango virtuosos such as Leandro Schnaider and Pablo Schiaffino .

The ensemble plays mainly in concert. It made radio and television recordings and participated in festivals such as "Tango am Bodensee" and the "Erfurt Salon Orchestra Festival " . It also appeared at milonga events , most recently in May 2017 in the Gigelberghalle in Biberach .

In July 2017, Roland Klugger left the ensemble. Since then, the ensemble has consisted of Jörg Walesch ( violin ), Claudia Schwarze ( cello ), Michaela Kauper ( piano ) and Heiner Merk ( bass ).
