My Whole World Ended is an album by David Ruffin .

My Whole World Ended was David Ruffin's first album after leaving the Temptations and was recorded between July 1968 and April 1969. Well-known producers such as Harvey Fuqua , Johnny Bristol and Ivy Jo Hunter were put by his side.

Ironically, the theme song was originally intended to be sung by the Temptations with Ruffin's successor, Dennis Edwards . However, they did not find time, which is why the song went to Ruffin.

Musically, My Whole World Ended can be clearly identified as a Motown album. Ruffin, one of Motown's voices in the 1960s, ties in seamlessly with his recordings as a Temptations singer.
