Thomas James "TJ" Kemp (born July 3, 1981 in Pickering , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Ritten Sport in the Italian A1 series since summer 2012 .

Career

TJ Kemp began his career as a hockey player in the team of Mercyhurst College , for which he was active from 2001 to 2005, before he made his professional ice hockey debut towards the end of the 2004/05 season for the Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League .

In the 2005/06 season , the defender was under contract with the Reading Royals from the ECHL , but also played games for the American Hockey League teams Peoria Rivermen , Iowa Stars , Milwaukee Admirals and Bridgeport Sound Tigers . Following this season, the left shooter played exclusively in the AHL, in which he was on the ice for one season each for the Manchester Monarchs and Springfield Falcons and in the 2008/09 season successively for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins and Hamilton Bulldogs .

In the summer of 2009, the Canadian was finally signed by the Augsburg Panthers from the German Ice Hockey League . In the summer of 2010 TJ Kemp switched to the Nürnberg Ice Tigers within the DEL . After two seasons in Nuremberg, he switched to the Italian Serie A1 , where he signed with Ritten Sport .
