Mychajlo Andrussjak

Mychajlo Mykolaiowytsch Andrussjak ( Ukrainian Михайло Миколайович Андрусяк ; born December 5, 1955 in Werbiwzi , Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian author.

Life

Mychajlo Andrussjak was born in Verbivtsi Village in Horodenka Raion . From 1971 to 1975 he studied wood management at the Kolomyja University . In 1978 he then spent a year at the seafaring school in Pärnu, Estonia . In 1985 he did an educational training at the Kiev State University and worked as a teacher.

Awards

In 2010 he won the Taras Shevchenko Prize of Ukraine for the semi-documentary trilogy "Brothers of Thunder", "Brothers of Fire" and "Brothers of the Skies" .
