Mystical Ninja 2 starring Goemon (がんばれゴエモン~でろでろ道中オバケてんこ盛り~ ?, Ganbare Goemon ~ Dero-dero dochu Obake Tenko Mori ~), or Goemon's Great Adventure in North America is a video game by Konami for Nintendo 64 develops and at the 23rd December 1998 in Japan. It is the third game in the Ganbare Goemon series to be released outside of Japan and the sequel to Mystical Ninja starring Goemon , which was released two years earlier.

The unusual story tells how Goemon, Ebisumaru, Sasuke and Yae try to stop the evil Bismaru, who stole the resurrection machine from the sage. Goemon and his friends have to travel through five worlds to fight against the Dochuki, the prince of the underworld. Come back from the dead and destroy the machine. Each world is designed with Japanese styles and themes, and Mystical Ninja 2 with Goemon continues the series' tradition with eccentric and surreal humor.
Game principle and technology
With 2.5D gameplay platforms, it marks the return of the series to a side-scrolling format.

In Japan the game was released on December 23, 1998. In Europe it was released on June 18, 1999 as Mystical Ninja 2 starring Goemon , in North America on September 22, 1999 as Goemon's Great Adventure .

The game has sold more than 150,000 copies worldwide. In memory of the older 16-bit games, the side-scrolling system was lauded by columnists, who also praised the cooperative mode for two players. The graphics and lively soundtrack also did well. Some columnists have considered this game to be the best side scroller on the Nintendo 64.
