The northern Gasherbrum Glacier is located in the eastern Karakoram in the Shaksgam Valley annexed by China .
The northern Gasherbrum Glacier has a length of 23 km. It flows in northeastern Baltoro Muztagh along the eastern flank of Broad Peak ( 8051 m ) - initially in a northerly direction, later in an easterly and northeastern direction. In the south, the glacier is framed by the peaks Gasherbrum II ( 8035 m ) and Gasherbrum III ( 7952 m ). A left tributary glacier is the Kharut glacier . The northern Gasherbrum Glacier flows into the Shaksgam .
