Nuremberg age inventory
The Nuremberg Age Inventory (NAI) is a collection of tests and questionnaires (a battery of tests) related to psychological diagnostics for the well-being of old people . It was published in 1986 by the German psychologists Wolf D. Oswald and Ulrich M. Fleischmann. The inventory consists of 19 subtests and is the only comprehensive test instrument for old people in Germany for which the quality criteria are adequately identified. Every single test is documented with all quality criteria, i.e. the area of its applicability. Age-specific norm values are available. The standard sample has the size of n = 2866. The NAI is therefore also suitable for use in geriatric assessment .
In some cases, separate age norms (55–69 years, 70–79 years and 80–89 years) and norms for people with their own household, for home residents , for patients with HLSA (cerebral disorders in old age) and for a representative sample are offered. There are performance tests, external and self-assessment scales.
