history
The first edition appeared in 1831, the paper published at that time by Johann Georg Senner as a weekly paper was entitled Wochenblatt für das Ober-Amt Nürtingen . From 1840 it appeared twice a week, from 1889 daily. The change to the name Nürtinger Tagblatt took place in 1893. In the time of National Socialism , the publishing family was de facto expropriated, and the newspaper, which had been brought into line, was banned by the occupation troops in 1945. On June 8, 1945 Gustav Senner issued a bulletin on the orders of the occupying power, which was primarily aimed at the civilian population and others. a. informed about the issue of the food stamps and therefore quickly received the name Fressblättle in the vernacular . However, the occupying power refused to grant its own license for a local newspaper, and only a merger of several publishers received the license from the US administration. On February 12, 1949, the newspaper appeared for the first time under the new name Nürtinger Zeitung .
