NFL International Practice Squad Program

The NFL International Practice Squad Program is a regulation that was introduced in 2017 for the 4 clubs of the NFC South . They are allowed to add an additional foreign player to the practice squad . However, this may not be included in the active team for this season. In 2017, three British and one German were accepted into the Practice Squad on the basis of this regulation. Previously there were similar regulations from 2004 to 2013.

The New Orleans Saints signed 24-year-old defensive end Alex Jenkins, from Bath , Great Britain , for 2017 . The Carolina Panthers signed the 24-year-old defensive end Efe Obada (born April 23, 1992 in Nigeria), who grew up in Great Britain. The Atlanta Falcons signed 26-year-old tight end Alex Gray, from Bishop Auckland , Great Britain , for 2017 . The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed linebacker Eric Nzeocha from Ansbach for 2017 .
