NHL Eastside Hockey Manager

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

NHL Eastside Hockey Manager is a Hockey - simulation , which by Sports Interactive developed (SI Games) and Sega was released. It was the first commercial version of the Eastside Hockey Manager series starting with the freeware game Eastside Hockey Manager .

The freeware version, which had been developed by a group around the Finn Risto Remes, only included the National Hockey League as a playable league, whereby the number of completed seasons was in principle unlimited.

The first commercial version of the series was released in Europe in July 2004 under the new brand name NHL Eastside Hockey Manager . It had the Championship Manager 3- based game engine , also developed by Sports Interactive, with over 15 playable ice hockey leagues from North America and Europe with a database of over 15,000 players and employees. The game was first released in stores only in Europe, but later also made available for download and could be purchased online. A North American retail version of the game followed a few months later. Other commercial versions of the series were NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005 and NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 , the latter edition was only available as a download.

In January 2007 it was announced that NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 would be the final version of the series for the foreseeable future, with Sports Interactive blaming piracy for the decision to discontinue the series.
