NHL Network is a Toronto , Ontario- based Canadian television broadcaster that broadcasts 24/7 themed hockey games. In addition to the actual focus, the National Hockey League (NHL) , the station also broadcasts reports and live games from the minor league and international hockey. The station is owned by a consortium of NHL , CTV and Insight Sports Ltd. on. During the hockey season, the station reports daily in the afternoons about current games and game results on the NHL on the Fly program. NHL Network began broadcasting on October 4, 2001. A sister station for the Americans was started in 2007, NHL Network (United States) .
