NK Vrapče Zagreb is a Croatian football club from the Podsused-Vrapče district of Zagreb .
history
Founded in 1938 under the name NK Vrapče Zagreb , the association merged with NK Sparta Zagreb in 1966 after being renamed NK Mladost due to financial difficulties . After the new club was renamed Sparta-Elektra in 1977 and internal disputes, it was re-established in 1979 as Sportsko Društvo Vrapče (German Sportkameradschaft Vrapče ) with the departments of football , handball , karate , table tennis and sport shooting . Since then, the club and the infrastructure have been completely renovated.
After Croatia broke away from Yugoslavia, Vrapče Zagreb took part in the country's second-highest division for the first time in the 1992/93 season: after relegation to the fourth division in the second half of the 1990s, promotion to the third division was achieved in 2002. Initially assigned to the middle season, Vrapče Zagreb has been part of the west season since the third division was reorganized in 2006.
