The series AM 75/76/77 (also called Varkensneus (pig's nose )) of the Belgian State Railways (NMBS / SNCB) is a series of 140 km / h four-part electric traction vehicle units.

It is mainly used in local and regional transport within Belgium ( L and P trains ), but also in interregional transport of the NMBS / SNCB and can be combined with railcars of the NMBS / SNCB series AM 62-79 .

A unit consists of four cars, only the two middle cars are driven, while the ends of the multiple units serve as control cars .

The multiple units were painted gray with an orange stripe on delivery. They were later repainted burgundy red.

From 2015 to 2020, the entire series will be modernized for at least 15 additional years of use. The multiple units will have new interior fittings and windows, vacuum toilets, handicapped accessible areas, electronic information displays, sockets in first class and air conditioning in the driver's cabs. The converters will be renewed and the doors converted to key operation. The new paint is light gray with red doors, a blue stripe at floor level and yellow warning areas on the fronts.
