NRG Band is a Kosovar pop band. It consists of the band frontman Besnik Qaka, the guitarist Arben Qaka and the bassist Meti Qaka.
history
NRG Band was founded in 2000 by the three brothers Besnik, Arben and Meti Qaka. Originally they mostly appeared in clubs with covers from other pop bands. After the band was invited to the pop festival "BBC" in Tirana, the band began to become successful and famous. They appeared at other festivals such as "BBC" in Prishtina and Showfest in 2003 and 2004. In the meantime, frontman Besnik performed with the band "Rritmit të Rrugës". At the end of 2004 the first album Ama ... followed , which contains twelve songs. This album featured features with Babuka , Ritmi i Rrugës , Etno Engjujt and with the singer Adelina Thaçi .
Shortly after the first album was released, keyboard player Vedat Maxhuni joined the band. Vedat was also present at the release concerts.
In April 2006 the second album Paja Paja followed . In the same year NRG Band took part in the Kënga Magjike award ceremony with the song Luja Bab Luja . The following year they took part in the same award ceremony with the song Hajde me mu ni natë . In both years they won several awards at this ceremony.
In 2007 the single AIDA was released, which also belongs to the album Paja Paja . Also in 2007 the song As fejesa e as martesa was released in collaboration with Orinda Huta .
