The NSB Ea 1 501 is a light accumulator - rail tractor , which was used from 1916 by Norges Statsbaner ( German Norwegian State Railways ) in Norway . The locomotive was used for smaller transport tasks and for shunting on connecting railways and in stations.
history
The locomotive was built by Strømmens Værksted in 1916 and was Norway's first accumulator vehicle. When the NSB series numbers were redistributed in 1936, the locomotive was not given a new series designation or number.
Use and whereabouts
Several surviving photos show the locomotive with mixed trains in Sarpsborg in 1916 and 1920 . On February 22, 1944, the locomotive was decommissioned and scrapped.
