The NTN Corporation ( Japanese NTN 株式会社 , NTN Kabushiki kaisha , after the founders Niwa, Tomoe and Nishizono; later as the abbreviation for New Technology Network ) is a Japanese manufacturer of rolling bearings .
history
In 1937, NTN was renamed Toyo Bearing Manufacturing . In 1961, Toyo entered into a license agreement with INA Wälzlager Schaeffler and jointly marketed the needle roller bearings produced by NTN Wälzlager Europa . In 1963 the company entered into a similar contract with Hardy Spicer to produce Birfield-type constant velocity joints . In the same year the NTN Bearing Corporation of America was founded, in 1972 the old name was taken up again in the company ( NTN Toyo Bearing Company ), in 1989 the name was finally changed back to NTN Corporation . In 2008, NTN took over the French manufacturer of rolling bearings and linear technology SNR Roulements .
