The Na chlumu (German: Kulmwald ) is a dense forest area on a ridge between Zelená hora (German: Grünberg ) and the town of Cheb (German: Eger ) in the Výhledská vrchovina (German about: Oberkunreuther Bergland ) in the Karlovarský kraj (German: Karlsbader Region ) in the Czech Republic .

geography

On the northern edge of the forest area, the Ohře (German: Eger ) flows through the Skalka dam and the second class road 606 runs from Schirnding to Cheb.

Tourist development

A path runs through the Na chlumu from the abandoned village of Horní Pelhřimov (German: Oberpilmersreuth ) past the memorial for the former pilgrimage church of St. Anna to the wooded area by the television tower and on to the Bismarck tower on the Zelená hora.

The forest used to be a source of raw materials for the city of Eger.
