Naadia Sheriff

Naadia Sheriff (* around 1988 ) is a British jazz musician ( piano ).

Sheriff studied classical and jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama .

With her own quartet she recorded the album Gnarly Hymn (2010); she was also part of Yazz Ahmed's Hafla family and can be heard on his album La Saboteuse . She is also a member of The London Jazz Orchestra (with Alec Dankworth and Paul Clarvis ). Since 2013 she has been leading the band of singer Kate Dimbleby and arranging their shows musically. Together with Dimbleby she had an appearance in the film Blood , directed by Nick Murphy. She gave concerts at both the London Jazz Festival and the JazzFest Berlin . As a theater musician, Sheriff was musical director in various productions. She also performed with Hermeto Pascoal in 2016 .
