Newsroom refers to the editorial staff responsible for information programs and news , in which the current news situation is recorded, weighted, edited and prepared for broadcast in television or radio news or magazines. The editors working there are also called news makers. Sometimes newspaper or magazine publishers also use the term newsroom.

Working method

The job of news editors mostly focuses on verifying the evidence of incoming information . So there is usually no investigative journalism practiced , but rather an attempt to capture and depict the relevance for the audience on a daily basis .

A newsroom has a national and international network to receive the relevant information. The most important partners are the international news and press agencies . They continuously deliver current reports and several hours of broadcast material.
