Nadia Saidakova

Nadja Saidakowa ( Russian Надя Сайдакова , mostly Nadja Saidakova transcribed; born September 7, 1971 in Ischewsk as Nadeschda Pawlowna Saidakowa / Russian Надежда Павловна Сайдакова ) is a Russian ballet dancer . She is the first solo dancer at the Berlin State Ballet .

biography

Saidakowa received her ballet training at the State Ballet Academy in Perm . After her training, she first danced with the Moscow Classical Ballet . In 1991 she became a solo dancer with the ballet of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein . Since 1995, Saidakowa has been the first solo dancer in the ballet of the State Opera Unter den Linden (today's State Ballet Berlin ).

The dancer's repertoire includes the great romantic and classical roles, especially in the revisions by Rudolf Nurejew , Heinz Spoerli and Patrice Bart, but also modern pieces, among others by Maurice Béjart and William Forsythe .

As part of the Berlin State Ballet's Shut up and Dance project , Saidakowa regularly shows her own choreographies. In 2009 her full-length work Egopoint premiered at the Berliner Festspiele , a cooperation with DJ Luke Slater .

The dance photographer Gert Weigelt has made various short films with Saidakowa, including a. Spell evolution and ballerina . Saidakowa is Weigelt's most frequently photographed person.

Saidakova is married to an insurance professional and has a son named Bogdan.
