Nagari is a city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh .
The city is part of the Chittoor district . Nagari has the status of a municipality . The city is divided into 11 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had a total of 62,253 inhabitants, of which 31,363 were men and 30,890 women. With a share of approx. 93%, Hindus form the largest group of the city's population, followed by Muslims with approx. 6% and Christians with approx. 1%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 69.15%.
