Cumania was

• the great empire of the Cumans in southern Russia from the 11th to the destruction by the Mongols in the 13th century
• the area inhabited by the remains of the Cumans in Hungary , divided into two administrative units ( counties ) that were independent until 1876
  • Greater Cumania (Nagykunság) (1,196 km²), after 1876 including Jazygien ( Jazygen County) to Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County
