Surname

There are a whole range of spellings: Nahr Baruh, Nahr al Baruk, Nahr al Bārūk, Ouadi el Baarouk, Ouadi el Barouk, Ouâdi el Baârouk, Ouâdi el Bâroûk .

course

The Barouk runs fairly steadily from northwest to southeast. The deeply cut valley is mainly between Ain Wou Zain (عين و زين) and Boutmeh (بطمة) still densely forested. At Moukhtara (مختارة) the valley opens and unites with the valley of the Nahr Aray , which flows in there from the east. There is another (apparently only seasonal water) tributary from the west of Jdeidet El Chouf (جديدة الشوف) here.
