Nailed to Obscurity is a melodic death doom metal - band , originally from Esens in Ostfriesland comes.

history

The band was founded in 2005 by the two guitarists Jan-Ole Lamberti and Volker Dieken in Esens (East Friesland / Lower Saxony). After a short time and only a few first rehearsals, the original singer Frank Busker was replaced by Alexander Dirks. A short time later, Jann Hillrichs joined the band and replaced Saverio Girolamo on drums. Carsten Schorn, who replaced the original bassist Wilko Fimmen, joined the band immediately before the first album was recorded.

In 2007 the first full album Abyss ... was produced in the Soundlodge Studio by Jörg Uken . In 2012 the band separated from longtime singer Alexander Dirks. On September 20, 2013, the album Opaque was released on Apostasy Records , where the band had been under contract since that year. It is the first album with Raimund Ennenga as a singer. Opaque was produced together with Lasse Lammert in the LSD studio ; the artwork is by Ben Borucki .

On February 3, 2017, the band released their album King Delusion , which, like its predecessor, was also released via Apostasy Records . It was produced by V. Santura in Woodshed Studio in Landshut, Bavaria. The artwork comes from the Argentine painter and artist Santiago Caruso .

In 2018 the band signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast and released their most successful album to date, Black Frost , on January 11, 2019 , which reached number 37 in the German album charts. The album was again produced by V. Santura and the artwork was again created by Santiago Caruso .
