Nakayama Tadayasu

Nakayama Tadayasu ( Japanese 中山 忠 能 , * December 17, 1809 , † June 12, 1888 ) was a Japanese nobleman of the Edo period . He was born the second son of Nakayama Tadayori and was the father of Nakayama Yoshiko , the mother of Emperor Meiji .

Nakayama was appointed Kōshaku (margrave) in 1884 . He was married to Matsuura Aiko ( 中山 愛 子 ) (1818-1906), the 11th daughter of the 9th daimyō of Hirado , Matsuura Kiyoshi ( 松浦 清 , also Matsuura Seizan 松浦 静 山 ; 1760-1841).
