Nam Định FC is a football club from Nam Định , Vietnam . The club currently plays in the country's highest league, the V-League . The club plays its home games at the Thiên Truong Stadium. The association was founded in 1965 as Nghiep Ha Nam Ninh , part of the Ministry of Industry. The club's greatest successes were the 1985 championship and the 2007 cup. The latter qualified for participation in the 2008 AFC Champions League . But where you were bottom of the group with only one point from 6 games. Various changes of sponsors also meant that the club changed its name frequently in recent years. 2003 to Song Da Nam Định; 2006 to Mikado-Nam Định and finally the name Nam Định FC, which is still valid today.
