Rudolf Leidler
Rudolf Leidler (born March 11, 1880 in Prague , † August 7, 1938 in Vienna ) was an otologist .
Leidler attended the German grammar school in Prague and began studying medicine in Prague. After seven semesters, he moved to the University of Vienna, where he received his doctorate on March 24, 1904. From 1904 to 1907 he worked at the University's Ear Clinic, then he became an assistant at the Vienna General Polyclinic. In 1917 he received his habilitation in ear medicine at the University of Vienna and was head of the Franz Josefs outpatient clinic after the First World War. From 1922 he headed the ear station of the ear, nose and throat clinic headed by Markus Hajek . In 1931 he became a tit. appointed extraordinary professor. A few months after the German Wehrmacht invaded Austria , Leidler died of suicide.
