The Namibian Electoral Commission ( English Electoral Commission of Namibia ; ECN) is an authority in Namibia . As an electoral commission, it organizes and monitors all elections in the country in a fair and independent manner . The ECN was founded in 1992 on the basis of the Electoral Act .

The election commission consists of a chairman and four commissioners. These are the Chief Justice (English Chief Justice ), a legal representative of the Law Society and the ombudsman nominated by the president appointed for five years.

Notemba Tjipueja has been chairman of the ECN since 2011 .
