Nancy A. Collins (born September 10, 1959 in McGehee, Arkansas ) is a writer . She is best known for her series of vampire novels with Sonja Blue. Collins wrote several novels. Some are about a race called the Pretender : monsters from myths and legends who pretend to be humans in order to get their prey more easily.

Nancy A. Collins is one of the authors who are assigned to splatter punk, a style whose direct spelling is influenced by the splatter film. She also wrote for comic series, e.g. B. Swamp Thing and wrote his own comic: Dhampire.

For her first novel Sunglasses After Dark (German: The Kiss of Death of Sonja Blue ) she received the Bram Stoker Award in 1989 .
