Nancy Kilpatrick
Nancy Kilpatrick , (born May 6, 1946 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American-Canadian writer. She also published under the pseudonyms Amarantha Knight and Anna Knight .
Life
Kilpatrick lived in San Francisco for a year before migrating to Montreal , Canada in 1970 . Married and divorced twice, she writes horror, dark fantasy, mystery and erotic novels and short stories, as well as articles for magazines and journals. She is known by her real name, but also by her pseudonyms Amarantha Knight and Desirée Knight , under which she publishes rather erotic works (Darker Passions). In 1998 she published a youth novel under Anna Knight .
So far (2006) she has published 17 novels, 175 short stories, four editions of a vampire erotic comic and several non-fiction books.
Nancy Kilpatrick is often referred to as Canada's "Queen of Vampire Fiction"; the undead occupy a large part of her stories, but zombies, ghosts and serial killers are also part of the author's repertoire. For the best mystery story she received the Arthur Ellis Award from the Crime Writers of Canada .
She has worked with a number of authors and editors, such as Don Bassinthwaite , Thomas Roche and Nancy Holder .
As a creative writing teacher, she holds many workshops such as: B. 2007 at the World Horror Convention.
